How to insert a missed syllable in existing lyrics
I have entered lyrics in 2 my score, and then realized I missed a syllable. How do I get the text to move over one note so I can add my syllable? The only option I've identified so far is to word by word delete the text I've entered after the missing syllable and start over. Surely there's a better way.

Select the note the wrong syllable start then shift+click the last. Right click a selected lyric and choose select>all similar elements in range selection. Cut, move to the next note and paste. If you have melismas you may have to repeat this to get those to line up correctly.

Thank you! I never would've guessed that sequence. It works.

The select all similar elements trick is very useful. It might be one of the best features of MuseScore. The other items under the select context menu item make is extremely versatile.
