Tying note problem
I'm trying to tie a dotted half note with a quarter note in 3/4 time, but for some reason it's changing automatically to a whole note and vanishing the quarter note that's in the next measure. The thing is I can still click on the invisible quarter note and when I try to edit the element it says it's already a tie. Anyone else have this issue and how do I fix it?

Can you share the score?
My best guess is you turned on the experimental feature to allow note values to cross measure boundaries. Go to Format / Style and turn it back off.

That was my guess too, which I'd liked to have verified by looking at the OP's score ;-)
Also I was too lazy to look up the exact name of that option
