My Corrupt file
My piece I have been working on for at least 9 1/2 months, has been corrupted. I've tried to remove the comma and the .mscz at the end, but it doesn't resolve. Can someone plz help me, because I wanna add some stuff to the piece.

#271185: Scores corrupted beyond repair, containing nothing but zeros?
That seems to be the backup score (and indeed beyond repair), it the actual score in the same broken state?

Yes. I even tried renaming it.

I also had to put the .mscz in it to upload it on here

Then it can't be the original score, that does have the mscz extension already

Broken in the same way, exactly the same size, so unlikely a different file

I don't know how to open it back up. I tried renaming it a couple of times and it won't work.

Perhaps this file works.

I had a couple more stuff on it. It went to 120 measures. I really don't wanna start it over, but is there someway I can get the 32.0 KB version back up and running again.

Have you followed Jojo's link above?

Especially, look for any autosaved version.

It didn't work. I followed the right instructions but it's still corrupted. Either I have to run some kind of test, or it's long gone :(. Its still corrupted no matter what I do.

If you're on Windows and are using OneDrive, you can easily recover older versions from that site. Similr for macOS using Time Machine I gather.

It still didn't work. I've tried. :( Look I don't even know why it crashed anyway. This is the piece that I spent alot of time on and now I can no longer get into no matter what I do. My large version went up to measure 120 but in the normal version it only goes to I think 87. I'm sorry but the OneDrive didn't do it. I guess my hard work is gone forever.

Sorry to hear that! Well, maybe the lesson is, use OneDrive in the future. I recommend going with the default where OneDrive contains your entire Documents folder. When set up that way, all your MuseScore files get backed up automatically.
