Possible to link fretboard diagrams to playback?

In MuseScore, by default, are fretboard diagrams linked to playback or to notation in any way? If not, can I manually link them?

I believe a "fretboard diagram" to "staff" link could serve a variety of purposes.

• The simplest example would be playback.

For instance, if the user adds rhythms (via slash notation) and chord diagrams MuseScore could voice a completely accurate chord rendering by sounding the notes of the chord diagram (according to the tuning of the instrument) and this could be accomplished without entering the chord tones via staff notation. (Obviously this scorist would need to disabled chord symbol playback to hear only the fretboard diagrams.)

This type of linked playback would be very helpful particularly when staff notation chord voicing is not needed on the score.

Other thoughts on linked fretboard diagrams:

• one could populate a fretboard diagram via tablature (or regular notation staff)
• once a fretboard diagram is added the scorist could commute its pitches to a notation staff

To make playback very believable , MuseScore would need to address subtle but significant playback differences between down strokes and up strokes:

• down strokes are generally louder than up strums, and they include most if not all strings, sounding from lowest to highest. (In 4/4 and 3/4 time they tend to fall on 1, 2, 3, 4)
• up is generally softer; and they usually include less strings, and focus on the treble sid, and sound from highest to lowest (in 4/4 and 3/4 they tend to fall on the "and" after the beats.)

And for greater realism there would need to be a means for including accent patterns. Which could be handled with articulations or velocities.

Is any of this already possible in MuseScore 3.5? I have only four weeks experience with MuseScore, and I think its pretty amazing.
