Leger lines for grace notes
Writing guitar scores. When I add a grace note to a note on a leger line, the leger lines for the grace note and the melody note are not separated. The result is untidy. When I displace a grace note leftwards to make room for a line indicating a finger slide between the grace and the main note, the grace note leger lines smear out, reaching all the way from the new position of the grace note back to the original one. Again untidy. Is there a way to do this neatly? Two images attached. One is the result from MuseScore, the other is the effect I want.
It's also highly irritating that I have to move notehead, stem and tail in separate operations. Would you ever move one without the others?

If you don't receive a solution through this forum, then it's worth raising a specific issue in the Issue Tracker. There is already an EPIC group entry there, as a gathering place for issues with grace notes:
#310776: [EPIC] Grace note issues

#310776: [EPIC] Grace note issues is a place that only lists issues, it's not a place to enter a new issue. If you ever need to enter a new issue, do that at https://musescore.org/en/node/add/project_issue?pid=1236 which can be accessed through the Activity->Issue tracker menu on this page. Create a new issue and someone will add it to any proper EPIC issue.
You normally don't need to move the note head, stem and tail in separate operations. You do this if you move items in the Note Section of the inspector. Use the Chord section of the inspector and everything moves (and the beam even grows if necessary). You want to move the grace note rather than the main note to get the separation you want. When you move the main note, the ledger line stays extended to where it started while the ledger line moves with the grace note.
If this still doesn't work, attach the score, including the slide and I'll take a look at it.
