A problem first reported in #291892: Style dialog: redesign layout of properties to reduce width. Open the Style window and click the collapse button.
Expected behaviour: The dialog should lose the list of styles and contract in width accordingly.
Actual result: The dialog stays the same width and the amount of grey space increases.

How can that be a Major issue?
.
Clarified title: it works in that it collapses the style list, it just doesn't also automatically shrink the dialog.
It doesn't evern allow to manually shrink it
Turns out to be fixed in https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/7154
At least, after collapsing the sidebar, you can manually size the dialog further down than when the sidebar is expanded.
By the way, isn't the arrow icon on the collapse button reversed? When the sidebar is expanded, the icon is a right arrow, and when it's collapsed, it's a left arrow. Or is that how it is designed to work?
Fixed in branch 3.x, commit 564e2e75fe
