Unmeasured music
Thanks to your help, now I can write unmeasured music, but the new problem is with the lyrics underneath the staves : how is it possible to write several detached words under one semi-breve ? Is there a means to write a semi-breve with two parallel vertical bars and then write as many words as wished underneath ?

Separate them with Ctrl+Space
Bravura has the semibrevis with 2 vertical bars either side, Gonville too

Thanks for your help : it is one more step forward for me. How could I carry on writing music and lyrics from where I have arrived ? The notes disappear by the end of the line despite my having added new bars. I enclose what I am working on. Thanks.

Your bar has become larger than what can fit on the paper, the solution here is to split the bar at a logical point for the lyrics.
