Speaking of chords, I posted something, maybe 2 days ago, that I just can't find! I'll repeat it here for the sake of reinstating my request:
I would like to disable chord sound when the chord symbol is clicked or edited. As a guitar player, I use chord symbols a lot and it gets annoying to be hit in the ears by the sound of (loud) chords being played every time I edit them, particularly when using headphones. Is there already a way to disable that feature?

Why wouldn't it be a chord, it starts out as one, then a different note is substituted into the chord, later on in the measure?

A chord is one or more notes of the same duration, in same voice and staff.

Anyhow, the setting you want is in Edit / Preferences / Note Input.
