Beaming
Is it possible to beam across a bar line e.g. an eighth note on last beat of measure and an eighth note in the first beat of the subsequent measure? I cannot find any documentation on this.

Sorry, let me be more precise. Across adjacent barlines that is quite simple, but in this case the first measure is at the end of one system and the next is at the beginning of the next system.
