Not enough space in between treble and bass staves in grand staff
Hi There,
I've gone into: Format > style to try and adjust the height of the grand staff (to fit in performance markings and text). It doesn't seem to let me save the new settings I'm trying. Is there a 'save' button I should be looking out for?

I also realised that grand staff automatically readjusts once I add in performance markings. However, I am still keen to know if changes to "style" or "page" need to be saved with some sort of button. Thank you

The menu option Format > Style... > Page allows you to to make any changes to the score layout. But it's probably a good idea to wait until you have entered all the notes and dynamic marks. Then you will know whether the default style really does need to be changed.

The OK button on the right at the foot of the screen. If the buttons are out of sight, you can reduce the height or width of that Style screen by dragging the bottom edge or the right edge.
You shouldn't need to change any settings to fit markings between staves - the space should increase automatically as needed. Overriding the settings will generally just result in less optimum usage, with space also being added where it isn't needed.
As noted, though, settings save when you press OK, same as any other dialog.
