Repeat marks
If I have a first time bar that extends over several bars, including on to the next line of notes, how do I get the line to go over all of the bars, and not just to the end of the line?

My recommend for that is to go to the main page of the Handbook and simply scan the list of topics (it's not all that long) to see which seems most related. In this case, if you don't know the word "volta", you might not recognize that, but you would see "repeats", and on reading that, it would direct you to the voltas page from there.
Meanwhile, we're working on ways of making the Handbook for MuseScore easier to find things in.
