As those threads show, no it's not possible, but also not generally necessary, yas you can usually achieve perfect alignment without having to manually "eyeballing" things a rule. Simply use the Inspector to set consistent offsets for the elements you want aligned. or in the case of chord symbols for example, use the style setting to get MuseScore to do it automatically.
