Usually in my full scores I put a bracket on the Timpani part only. It seems that musescore it self doesn't handle it automatically as of 12/8/2022 so I add it manually, yet, every time I open and close the "Instruments" tab it disappears. It's not a critical problem, it may be an easy fix.
