Bow markings (Up/Down Bow) on Pizzicato sectoin
Came across bow markings used in a pizzicato section for Violins and Cello in a Rimsky-Korsacov score. These chords were also marked with a standard arpeggio so I can only assume this may have been an attempt to mark them as normal or reverse arpeggios. Being pizzicato, bow marking would be meaningless. Is this likely a correct interpretation based upon common practice over a 100 years ago? If so I can get the correct playback if I figure out which direction to use for each of the bow markings which by the way alternate from one to the other on succesive chords.
