Ability to interact with score when another window is open

So let's say I open the "styles" window. With this styles window open, I can't move my score around to see how changes to the styles changed the score. I think including this functionality (not just for the styles window but also preferences and other windows) will enhance the user experience. Inkscape, for instance, has this functionality.
