1) Open mixer panel
2) Begin playback
3) Change sound in the mixer menu
4) Playback restarts from beginning, but the blue line on the score remains midway through as if it hadn't

I have also encountered this seemingly every time I change sounds, though after some more testing it seems that there are some circumstances where playback continues from where it left off. In my testing, switching from MS Basic to muse sounds works correctly, but any other transition doesn't.
Notably, only the instrument that had its sound change restarts, the rest continue as normal.
