Adding Bars at the Begin of a Piece with Upbeat

I just was beeing composing a piece wit upbeat. But than I thought it should really have a prelude of some bars. So I have chosen from the menue (at a German installation) Hinzufügen > Takte > Am Anfang der Partitur einfügen > 4 (translated probably Adding > Bars > Add at the Beginning > 4). But now I got four complete bars before the upbeat. And then an incomplete bar with only the three eighths upbeat, and then the next full bars.

That’s not what I've want to.

How to merge the three eighths of the origin upbeat into the last of the four added bars?
