Notehead goes invisible, but stem+flag does not

1) I wrote 2 "voice 2" eighth notes, with the intent of hiding the first one and making the second visible for a piano/vocal score (verse 2 has an extra syllable)
2) I hid the 1st eight note, but realized the notes were beamed incorrectly, so I separated their beams
3) Upon doing so, the beams were separated, but the flag/beam of the hidden note returned to being visible, and nothing I could do could turn it invisible unless I made the entire note visible and invisible again.
