You can disable/enable playback of all chord symbols in the score by clicking on the cog icon to the right of the playback controls and deselecting/selecting Play chord symbols.

If I tick this off and then upload the score, will the chord symbols be muted in the browser player as well?

I found how to turn off chord symbol playback:
1. Click Format.
2. Click Style.
3. Click on the chord symbols.
4. In the playback pane, select close in the voicing pop up menu.
