WISH TO PLAY NOTES IN MY ELECTRIC PIANO AND SEE THEM IN THE BARS
I am able to connect a USB cable from my Yamaha piano into the Musescore (into my MAC). But am unable to see a note in the bar as I am doing with ABCDEFG digitation. Is it possible to go straight from piano-to-bars?

Yes, the usual methods of note input allow you to enter notes from a MIDI keyboard one at a time the same way as you can type them one at a time or click them in with a mouse one at a time. but if you're hoping to just be able to play music in rhythms and have it automatically converted to notation, that sort of AI is not quite there yet.
If you don't see any input at all, be sure your keyboard is connected and turned on before starting MuseScore, and be sure it's selected for input in Edit / Preferences / I/O.
