Musescore keeps crashing
I just spent hours transposing this piece and then it started to crash every five seconds and now it says that it lost the file for my piece

The same keeps happening to me. I am running the latest (improved) Version 4. I haven't lost the music but I cannot save any changes. I don't know whether the attached screenprint will help. Also how do I contact Musescore Technical help?

Screen prints rarely help. No-one can try to reproduce the crash from a screen print or see if there is anything unusual about your score.
It is much more helpful to attach the score (.mscz file) and to give a precise description of what you are doing when you experience the crash - e.g. "select the first note in measure 3 and press SHIFT+V" or whatever precipitates the crash.
If a crash is confirmed and the circumstances leading to it are known then the problem can usefully be reported on Github.

Thanks very much for your fast response and helpful info. I reloaded the software and so far all is well. If it happens again I will do as you suggest.
