new to musescore 4 basic question moving to next beat; shortcut for going to next beat?
I am new to musescore. Sometimes, I will be inputting notes and they will remain on the same beat.
How do I avoid this?
I am uploading a screen shot.
I wanted the notes which appeared as a chord to be single notes, but they remained as a chord.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

If you hold shift while entering a note with the PC keyboard the note is added to a chord. If you don't hold down shift it isn't and the entry point moves to immediately after the note you just entered. With a mouse (not the most efficient way to enter notes) you can add the note to the chord or to replace (overwrite) the next rest or note.
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/entering-notes-and-rests for more information.

"With a mouse (not the most efficient way to enter notes". Maybe. But at least ai know where the next note will be placed :)

And I know where the next note will be placed when I use the keyboard, and what is more even though my hand shakes, the note still goes where I want it to go and I don't ever run out of room on my mouse mat to put the note where I want it :) but à chacun son goût.
