Turning off bar length validation (in terms of total note values)
Hi folks,
New to MuseScore, trying to write a bagpipe score. Bagpipe music pretty much never has bars where the total note value adds up to only say 4 1-beat notes in a 4/4 piece of music - our music is plastered with ornamentation, similar to this link:

I'm trying to add ornamentation to a piece, but it starts messing with note values of the melody notes. Is there a way to turn of this automatic adjustment?
For example, comparing screenshots where, I only want to insert the G gracenote, and not change the melody values by having three chopped up B's behind it.
Help will be appreciated!

If you are using MU4, there is a whole palette of bagpipe embellishments. click "add palette" and scroll down.
What about using grace notes for the ornamentation rather than normal notes then you can keep it all in 4/4. here's the first 4 bars:
