English is not in the settings languages list.
I can't set English in MuseScore 4.1.1.232071203 because is not in the languages list. The list only shows a few languages. How can I fix it?

Doesn't it work to scroll down in the list? E.g. with the mouse wheel?
Otherwise many other languages would not be available either, e.g. German, Dutch, French, etc.

Thanks. The scroll bar is only visible when the mouse is over it.

That feels like a design flaw to me, might be worth reporting on GitHub, https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/new/choose

I think seeing the scroll bar all the time may be another "nineties thing".

Maybe, but I think it's better to show the scrollbar when the menu is open and the pointer is over it or when the user moves the mouse wheel.

Sorry, "nineties thing" is a bit of an in joke - it was a term used to justify the lack of a Save button in MU4. Whenever I encounter "design" trumps "usability" in MU4 it comes to mind.

LOL!
I very much appreciated your "forum humor"... ;-)

It's not a joke, unfortunately, but a step backwards.
If you don't want the save button you can also remove it via 'View/Toolbars/Customize Toolbars' (at least in 3.6.2). Or can you add it that way in MuS 4 as well?

You can't add it in Mu4 :-(

Unfortunately, the customizable toolbar display of File Operations icons in Mu3 was eliminated in Mu4.
The "inside joke" was Steve's reference to this lengthy discussion:

Yes, I already knew the origin of the 'inside joke'.
It's still a wrong decision in my opinion.

The scroll bar does not exist in 3.6.2 either (nor in 3.7!). Also not in the mixer for the sound selection - there it would be much more important for me.

Indeed! There are many things that are even older and still useful. You don't have to sacrifice everything to a so-called modern design ...

3.x shows a full screen-height list though.

Yes, but is annoying when it is longer than the screen height. One never knows for sure, is one at the beginning or at the end of the list. Especially if you have more than one entry in the synthesizer.
It is an Aphabetical list, so English would come furter down. And it comes in 2 flaro(u)rs, US and GB
