Tied notes not playing back full length -- MuseScore 4.2.0, macOS Sonoma

I'm using MuseScore version 4.2.0 (without Muse Hub) on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1. I've been having a problem for a while now where any tied notes I have do not play back the full length of the note. A whole note tied to a whole note will only sound 7 beats instead of the full 8 (or in at least one instance, only 4 beats), a whole tied to a half will only sound for 5 beats instead of the full 6, and a half tied to a whole tied to a double dotted half (9.5 beats) will only sound for 7 beats. I tried to attach an example screen recording but it won't let me. It's happening on one particular score of mine, and it's not happening with every tied note, but when it does happen it happens in all parts. his problem has also only been happening since I upgraded to version 4.2.

Is there any way that this can be fixed? I rely on the playback to compose so this bug makes it near impossible for me to do anything.
