Note Selection issue … IMHO

Hi there,

If I select one note by “clicking on it”, and I change its value by hitting any number (ie. 5 for quarter note), that note remain selected so if I want to add a dot, I can easily do it. BUT …

If I select a note by shift-click-drag on it, MS behavior is different. I’ve found it by wanting to change the value of a series of ending note on a brass section, so I’ve shift-click-drag all of them (on five staves), changed their value using a number, but after the value change, all notes got deselected so cos I want to add a dot, I needed to re-select all notes again. Am I doing something wrong or this is how MS deal with "selection modes"?
