Cancelation of articulations on note input

When using note input articulations can be toggled on or of using keyboard shortcuts and are stacked. (So if I use an accent and then staccato, I get both articulations). It would be very time saving if there was an option to turn stacking off during note input, so when a new articulation is selected the previous is automatically canceled.
In Jazz and Bigband, often Tenuto or Accents are followed by a staccato note.
I noticed that when shifting from Accent to Marcato or back, the other already is cancelled automatically (because these can never be stacked). I just would like to enable the same behavior on tenuto and staccato.
