Transposing Horn in F part to trombone
How can I switch a Horn in F part to be played on the trombone?
I could be in either treble or bass clef (I read both).
Every time I've tried it has puts the range really high. For reference, I have attached the piece I want to play with my friend, who has a trumpet.

You're seriously still working with MuseScore 2.0.3???
The last Mu2 is 2.3.2, but there's also the last Mu3, 3.6.2 and the current Mu4 4.2.1

No, I have Mu4. But the person who created the file used Mu2.
Anyway, if you change the Horn in F to a Trombone and the notes are too high for you, you may want to transpose it down an octave.
Or if it is just the many ledger lines that disturb you, chan ge the clef to a treble clef

Thanks. I ended up putting it in treble clef and just putting a few bars down an octave. Playing the whole piece down an octave goes too low.
