Transcribe notation to tab
Hello,
Is it possible to write a line of notation and to them convert it into tab for guitar? I've looked under every heading but I can't see anything that looks like it might!

It's definitely possible.
You can easily try it out in a score equipped with a guitar staff and a linked tablature.
To create this configuration in a new MuseScore 4 document select:
File > New > Create from Template > Solo > Guitar + Tablature
In the new "Guitar + Tablature" score enter notes in the treble clef and they will appear in the tablature staff.
Alternately you can copy treble clef notation from another MuseScore document and paste it—in your new "Guitar + Tablature" score—into the treble clef or the tablature staff.

I haven't tried, but I assume you can copy from a treble clef staff and paste it directly into a tab staff. You do not need to go via a linked treble clef staff. I guess.

Yes. But that'd not have the advantange of linkled staves to not need this but stay in sync automagically
