software not loading

Dear colleagues,

I have been trying to install MuseScore 4 for the last two days, to no avail. I have tried the hub version, and also just MuseScore minus the hub. I download it, open the icon, drag the software into the Applications folder, then launch it....and the icon bounces, then nothing happens. I am using a Mac, Ventura 13.4.1, so I think I'm O.K. there. I have also removed the hub and software many times, to reload, but no changes from the above. Please help!
