Musescore 4 has suddenly stopped working

I have been using Musescore on my iMac for a while now. It was fine a couple of days ago but now the opening screen flashes. closes and nothing happens. The was a Mac iOS update a couple of days ago, not sure if that is related. Any ideas? Michael
