Mid- bar repeat possible?

• Oct 15, 2014 - 16:13

Is it possible to make functioning mid-bar repeats? I can place a pair of repeats so that they are mid-bar instead of on a bar line but they are ignored on play back, as if "play repeats" was off.

(Why do i want to do this? The music I am transcribing is written that way. The first repeated section has a one-beat pickup note included within the opening repeat sign. To compensate for that, the closing repeat sign is placed one beat before the normal end of a bar.)

I have attached a simplified example of this situation.

If you are referring to #35876: tempo change via play panel causes delay or jump at repeat, as far as I know, that's a problem *only* with that one score - there are no known problems *in general* with playback of repeats in 2.0. And besides, it appears you said that one score has issues in 1.3 as well. It is probably corrupt in some way.

If you are having problems aside from that one isolated score, please elaborate.

What to elaborate on?

I described the problem. I provided a sample score. I provided a video of the problem happening. What more is needed to demonstrate the problem?

If the score is "corrupted", how so? It loads and displays as expected and can be edited as expected without problems. What is corrupted about it?

I have now provided a fresh example made from scratch in v2 that shows the same problem.

What more do i need to do to show that this is a real thing?

What I am saying is, other scores seem to work fine from what I was able to tell in my own tests. So it is indeed a real problem *with that one score*, but I was just observing that it is *not* a problem to my knowledge in general, whereas your previous post seemed to suggest you thought it was. You are now saying you've been able to reproduce it with another score, but that is information I didn't hve when I posted my previous response. Thanks for posting that score. I'm sure that will help in tracking down the problem.
