Cakewalk vs. Audacity

Will Audacity in its newest version do everything that Cakewalk can do. One function of Cakewalk that has been valuable is the ability to "nudge" the tracks which allows you to create a choir sound with just one recorded voice. Can you do that in Audacity?

Jojo: It’s not directly related, but when I was in MuseHub, I saw that Audacity was one of the downloads recommended by Musescore on the website. I convert Musescore files into wav files or mp3 files to record voice over them in Cakewalk. But, since Musescore appears to be recommending Audacity, I thought I would ask that question. I don’t generally ask a lot of questions like I did in my early days with Musescore. I usually find what I need on the HELP pages. I do appreciate all the times you have answered my questions.

The reason I was on MuseHub was that Muse Brass did not appear on my Musescore 4..2.2 (whatever the new version is). I had to find out how to download the Musehub features. That’s where I saw the Audacity download. Therefore, I thought you guys were recommending it and was wondering if it were better that Cakewalk.

I would like to know if Musescore with be producing a DAW of its own.
