Why do system breaks disappear when uploading the score to the website?

Is this intentional? I always carefully use system breaks and page breaks to make the score easily readable, but when I upload my scores to Musescore.com, the breaks all disappear. I feel like this must have been answered already, but I searched for this in the forums and couldn't find what I was looking for. Why is my formatting ignored?
