What's different in the new Nightlies?

• Nov 25, 2014 - 16:23

Hi
I was about to "unwrap" a Nightly I downloaded a few days ago and just decided to check if there was a newer version - which of course, there are several. Is it possible to read a layman's version of what has been debugged/improved from the various most recent nightlies?

Also, what's happened to the "Scores" folder that used to be in with 1.3 and 2.0 beta? It doesn't exist in the nightlies - probably for a very good reason but I'm just curious.

cheers

Wow, you weren't kidding! That's real gobbledygook. Hats off to the MuseScore Elves for being able to understand that stuff.

guess my best bet is to simply download a newish Nightly every time I want to do a new arrangement or composition....

Nightlies for Linux (by me), Mac and Windows are posted daily (some exceptions....).

I always use the last one. However I have an automated daily backup...which I never had to use to recover mscore files.

A not bad way to get an idea of what bugs are fixed is to check out the Issue Tracker (link in menu at right) and look for the the green highlighting indicating recently fixed items. It won't necessarily tell you exactly which build has which fixes, but for instance, right now on the first page of issues, you'll see six bugs highlighted in green marked as fixed that were updated in the ladt day - these were all either fixed in the last day, or else maybe fixed a few days ago but are still being discussed. So in any case, ypu would know that rhese issues are all fixed in the latest nightly.
