Commercial use of Musescore graphics
Hi there,
Please could somebody help me with this!! I am writing a book and TV programme which needs to include the written sheet music. The music is all my own work, but I need to find software that will give me legal permission to visually portray the piece of music as it is written on the stave.
As Musescore has its own graphics (e.g. shape of notes/style of repeat marks etc), do I need to seek legal permission to put, say, a photograph in my book of my score of music?
I read on an earlier post that we are free to use it, but it was from a few years ago and not sure if anything had changed. Is there a certificate to prove legal rights of use also?
Thank you in advance!!

Cheers! Ideally I'd like to download some kind of certification proving this (just in case we need to in the future!)

The only "certification" we offer is the license under which the MuseScore software is provided: http://musescore.org/en/about/gpl You can find this license also in the actual software. Basically it states the same as what you read in that FAQ question.
