How to turn snare drums off
I've tried to find out how to turn off the snare drums but i just don't know how! Any tips?

I'm not sure what you mean by "turn off," but you can mute any instrument from the Mixer (under the View menu in 2.0, Display in 1.3). I hope this answers your question.

But not an individual voice, and those get used in a drum set staff.
That's a good question. I was trying to figure this out today as well. Snares, the wire under the drum, can be "on" (making the normal sound) or "off" (making a low, wet sound). Does anyone have a way to do this?

Use one of the tom sounds instead of the snare - that will be about as close as you will get with a GM drumset.
