Misaligned measures and time signature corruption
Can anyone please advise how I can correct a MuseScore file in these two ways:
(a) the measures start a half a bar out; I need to correct this for all 4 staffs in all 156 measures, and
(b) the piece has been interpreted by MuseScore 2 with the wrong time signature; I need to correct this.
Background:
In MuseScore 1 I created a version of a Beethoven piece by importing a midi file, then edited this by transposing the violin part to harmonica (and adjusting), adding harmonica tabs, and splitting the piece into more manageable files. I've loaded an extract (the opening 10 or 11 bars).
On upgrading to MuseScore 2, I loaded that file and changed the tempo and first instrument (settings which didn’t seem to have carried through from version 1). But on trying to save the edited file a “MuseScore: Load Error” dialogue appeared indicating that the file was corrupted. Clicking on “Show Details” gave a list of errors; one for each staff in each measure. These errors had not been detected when working with the file in MuseScore 1. Examples of the errors are:
Measure 1 Staff 1 incomplete. Expected: 4/4; Found: 1/2
Measure 1 Staff 2 incomplete. Expected: 4/4; Found: 8/16
Measure 5 Staff 1 incomplete. Expected: 4/4; Found: 4/8
Measure 8 Staff 2 incomplete. Expected: 4/4; Found: 16/32
Measure 22 Staff 4 incomplete. Expected: 4/4; Found: 32/64
I was able to save the file by clicking Ignore on the error dialogue box. This also needs to be done each time I load the edited file into MuseScore 2.
Note that the original score for this piece indicates it is in 2/4 time, but MuseScore seems to have initially interpreted it as 4/4, then tagged an error each time this was subsequently found not to be so.
The other issue is that in MuseScore 1 the measures were started at an incorrect location, leaving all measures exactly a half a bar out. I was hoping that could be easily fixed in MuseScore 2.

It would be great if you could post the origina (uncorrupted) file and precise step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the corruption. Also be sure to be using the latest version, 2.0.1, which fixes a handful of cases of corruption in the originak 2.0 release (the upcoming 2.0.2 will fix more still).
Tempo *does* carry through from 1.3 if created correctly - via a Tempo text. Again, if you are seeing a particular case where this does not work, oplkease post the original score before your changes so we can see.
Anyhow, the piece does indeed seem corrupt exactly as the messages say. It appears you may have inadertently deleted the time signature, which is the cause of some of these errors. Was there a time signature in the 1.3 version> First thing you should do is fix that by adding the 2/4 time signature back. Again, without seeing the original, it's a little hard to see exactly how you expect it to look, but you should be ablke to copy and paste the whole score to a new location half a bar out.

Thanks Marc for your very helpful response. It was heartening to see two fast and good responses on this forum to my first post here. I'm loving MuseScore, and am not only using it to document my harmonica transpositions for the quartet I'm in, but also to help me learn how to read music (I didn't get into music at all until my mid 50's).
Yes, the time signature had been omitted when I split the score in MuScore 1, and this was readily rectified as suggested by you and jm6stringer. The bar shift issue was there since the original import from a midi file (in MuScore 1), and was also readily corrected by some cutting and pasting. I followed these steps:
1. Drop 2/4 time signature onto start of 1st bar.
2. Delete any blank measures which may be created in step 1.
3. Select whole score except first half bar -> hold shift and left click drag first bars to be shifted, F12 and click last page, hold shift and left click last bar.
4. Cut and paste this selection to start of 2nd bar.
5. Cut notes in first half of 1st bar and paste over final rest in that bar.

As Marc mentioned, posting the original uncorrupted 1.3 file would be best, as your attachment does not open in 1.3. Apparently you created this excerpt using 2.0.
Anyway, I opened your attachment and do get a list of errors. Dragging a 2/4 time signature, saving, then reloading your score eliminates the error messages.
Both your attached extract score, and this version (Beethoven piece for harmonica piano & cello time sig.mscz) play identically - with the playback pauses actually notated as half note rests.
However...
The tied notes across those half note rests look like another problem. If the actual measures containing those rests are deleted, the ties are honored, although the timing of the piece changes.
