System Numbers instead of Measure Numbers
I use MuseScore to create percussion exercises for students. Usually these exercises can fit on one system with about 4 measures per system. I would like to be able to reference these systems by their number on the page instead of by the first measure they contain.
E.g. if "exercise 1" is four measures, line #2 will say "5" above it to indicate that the 5th measure starts there. I would prefer to be able say "look at exercise 2" instead of "look at measure 5", especially since some of the exercises have a variable number of measures.
If it's still not clear, I would like my page to look like this:
1
----|----|----|----|
2
----|----|----|----|
Instead of:
1
----|----|----|----|
5
----|----|----|----|

or use rehearsal marks (and disable measure numbers), to me that sounds to exactly match your purpose? See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/rehearsal-marks

Thank you so much for the quick reply! I can't believe I missed this.
