Esc = close window
Hi,
As I'm a frequent user of the keyboard while working, and as the Escape key is an intuitive way of "escaping" the current view, I would like to propose to add the Escape (Esc) key as a way of closing the currently focused view. I know one could just hit the same key again, but Esc would be a nice complement to this feature.
Regards.

Well, at least in Windows Alt+F4 is the Standard key Combo for this
Esc is the usual shortcut for the Cancel button in a modal dialog, which has the effect of closing the dialog, and this works in MuseScore everywhere I have seen. It is not standard or common in my experience for Esc to close a *top level* window, however.
It's not standard for [Esc] to close modelss dialog boxes either but it would be intuitive in the case of some such as when you have typed [Ctrl] t to enter text, pressed F2 to enter a special symbol and then want to exit without having to use the mouse to click on the window close x button.

Makes sense. It's just that my hand somehow "automatically" finds the Esc key when I want to close some window or view that I did not intended to open. Don't really know which other application has given me this behavior.
