Lost my file that I saved--suggested solutions don't do anything
Windows 7
Musescore 2.2
I had been working on my file and made a lot of changes so I hit save about 6 times, then closed it. Came back later in the day and all my changes were there and saved. The computer crashed before I had a chance to make any more changes. Opened Musescore again and it said it had a backup. So I opened it . . . and none of my changes were there! Did some searching and all the backups were for the piece without my big changes or for "My First Score."
So basically changes that had been saved and tested were lost when my computer crashed. I searched through all my backups but they weren't there. Help!!

You tried *all* of the different suggestions there? Including opening each of the auto-save files to see if one of them is your score?
In any case, if you did save your changes, they should still be there in the file itself, no need to rely on the auto-saved version.

I tried them all. And I did save my changes (not to mention that Autosave was set to save every 2 minutes and the last autosave document was from almost 30 minutes before I saved and left the file). It's weird.

is the directory you're saving to involved in syncing with some cloud service, like Google drive, dropbox etc.?

I think so. I'm not the main user of this computer. Or a tech person.
