empty bar (completely)
Is there a way to end your composition with no barline so it works as a direct segue into the next movement? Specifically, attaching an "open" bar, or part bar, after the final bar, à la...

so you want a courtesy timesig, right?
If so: don't use a section break to separate, but maybe a frame and possible adjust measure count of the 1st measure of the next section. And if there is no next measure in that score, just have one but hide it

How do I hide it?
I've used a frame to separate it, but when I go to measure properties, the "visible" column is grey, ticked and unclickable.

Hmm, very strange that the 'visible' box is check but disabled (greyed out). It isn't doing this for any of the score I created, but I do see that it indeed does when creating a cello score now
Ah, I see, it only works if there is another staff/instrument (and 'hide empty staves' is used).

So the solution is to add another stave and then hide only that one?
I see in the instrument list you added another bass clef. So did you manually hide that one?
Thanks.

I don't understand why anything is being hidden at all. From what I can tell, there is no need for an invisible measure. This is a plain and simple courtesy time signature, is it not?

but courtesy for what? If there is nothing following, there is no courtesy anymore

Maybe I missed the part where there wasn't supposed to be anything following. The examples I saw were followed by another movement etc.

yes, another movement, but in another file, or separated by a section break (that too prevents courtesy tile or key sigs)

Okay, so I deleted the bar - the time signature stays, but the key change is lost.

Click the final barline> Inspector select colour: white;
Add eventually an horizontal frame. Might work?
