More efficient parts window.
Something I find unnecessary is when I open a parts window, particularly for the first time, I still have to request a new part before I can proceed. Surely I will only open the parts dialogue (the first time anyway) if I want to generate a part. I would like to see a new part generated automatically every time I access the parts dialogue. If I don't want to add a part I can cancel, or, the remove button can be used to delete it.

Well, If I go to the parts menu, I want to control which parts get generated and in which order, what names they get, what instruments they contain and in what order.

I wasn't clear enough. I am not suggesting that anything be selected, you still have to select everything after you select "new". I am requesting that the "new" selection itself be automatic.

that would save you one click, on the cost of another click on the delete button for those that want to use 'all new'

Well, "all new" could just add the other parts, it shouldn't need to be deleted.
