Add a d flat piccolo to the instruments.
I am transposing parts from an old Sousa march and he wrote for d flat piccolo. Normally, I would enter the music as written into a d flat piccolo part and then copy the concert pitch version and paste into a c piccolo part, but there is no d flat piccolo listed in the instruments. In fact, I can't find any instruments in the key of d flat.
Is there any way that this can be added to the next version? I feel like other must use this software to transpose older music and it would be helpful to them as well.

It's a valid request, but note you can easily change the transposition yourself - just right click the staff, Staff Properties, and change the Play Transposition to a minor second up.

Is this all the there is to it? Same ranges and genre?

I have no opinion on whether we should add it (although I'd point that quite a numebr of the instruments we have in the list are considered "obsolete" in many circles as well!). But I'd guess the range is the same as standard piccolo when one considers *written* range, meaning you'd need to adjust the *concert* pitch range.
