Hiding chords behind Rhythm slashes in parts and Score

• Jan 18, 2016 - 02:41

Hi,

I'm a avid user of musescore, it is and awesome tools to craft the art of music notation, so any version includes really amzing improvements to make music notation accessible to everyone.

One of the feature I believe will benefits all musescore users is something similar to what Fixxxxle has in place when you create a system for a Piano or Guitar with chord on it and then transform that in Rythm or Slash Notation, but you still here the full chord.

I think this will be a feature valuable to add to Musescore.

This playback includes to play the chords with the Rhythm figure on the stave. The beauty resides in you will have a simpler to read part for Rhythm section, but a fuller rendition for the arranger/composer.

It's no just play a chord at beat 1 of the measure.

This works already if you want it to. Enter full chords, then run Edit / Tools / Toggle Rhythmic Slash Notation, then select the passage, hit Notes in the Inspector, and turn on the Play property. You'll hear the original chords in their full glory.

Or, you can use an invisible staff to have alternate playback - see Edit / Instruments.
