Most of my scores have disappeared from the musescore file folder.
How can I recover the files?

Most of your scores.
Check your recycle bin. Or, make sure you select the "Scores" folder. You might've selected a different folder.
@ Lyndaeg, try:
to start MuseScore, File> Recent;
Select a score, choose Save as: You should have the designated folder;
and/or
Edit / Preferences> click on "Scores" folder.
Check also the existence of backup copies. The paths are explained here:
