Problem with the Musescore player for Ipads
If I create a score on a PC and send it out to a friend it plays fine on a Mac or PC laptop or computer. But sometimes they won't play on Ipads. I'm not sure what the problem is but it looks like if I create the score on a Mac it'll play okay but doesn't play if originally created on a PC. Is there a fix for this other than creating the files on a Mac?
Thanks,
Gerry

I suspect it's just coincidence that the scores that don't play were created on the same computer. More likely it is something more specific about the score itself that causs the problem. We could tell better if you posted one of the scores you are having problems with.

Okay here's the file. It plays fine on a Mac or PC. It won't play on an ipad using 'Musescore songbook' which might have nothing to do with Musescore, but any help is appreciated.

THAT FILE ACTUALLY WORKED AFTER RESTARTING THE IPAD SO HERE'S A FILE THAT DOESN'T WORK.

Plays just fine in the Android Songbook app in my tablet, so this seem iPad specific.

The file crashed Songbook for iPad. I can't say why, but I do note if load the score into MuseScore and check the console log, there are error messages about slurs, and maybe that's the issue?

I have been using Musescore on a daily basis on my iPad to learn parts of the opera choruses set up on a Windows PC by our technician, since last October. It has worked perfectly, with a play button and a option for speed of playback.
I used several of the pieces yesterday whilst practising with no problem. However, today there is only the sheet music and no option to play or adjust the speed of playback.
What has happened at Musescore overnight?

Maybe you disabled the play panel? Try right-click into the menue bar and tick the 'transport tools'
The playback speed can be controled in the play panel, press F11 to enable it, there you also have the other play controls

You say "today there is only the sheet music and no option to play or adjust the speed of playback." .
Where is that? On your iPad, in the MuseScore ipad app? or on your computer, in MuseScore? Or on the musescore.com website?
Thanks, I'll try going back into the file and replacing all the slurs and see if that helps. How do I get to the error log to review it?

Starting MuseScore from the command line will do it, except I guess on Windows. But there isn't much to the log, just two notes about "slur not found". I'd start by removing all slurs (right click one, select all similar, delete) then re-add them. But it's just a guess that this error message is related to the crash.
