Tempo Change From 12/8 to 6/8
I'm working on a score that starts off in 12/8 with a tempo: dottedQuarter=72 .
When I get to a part where the TimeSig changes from 12/8 to 6/8, the tempo doubles.
Is this normal with musescore since both TimSigs are based on a dottedQuarter?
I have unzipped the and examined the .mscx and found only one instance there the is set and that was the initial setting of 72.

If there is only the time signature change, tempo should stay the same. If you have some particular score where this doesn't seem to be true, please attach it so we can investigate.

Attached is How_Could_You_Babe.mscz that has multiple TimeSig changes, the tempo is set only at the beginning of the piece and it does not have the issue.
Also Attached is When_We_Were_Young_rev-1.1.mscz which has the tempo doubling issue (which I am not yet finshed with).

There is no tempo change, just shorter notes, hence it feels faster

Thanks for the explanation. I have not worked with compound meter before and am not to proficient at it yet...
