I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Could use some assistance.
I need some help in using this program and I am unable to figure out what I am doing wrong through any information I can find on the web.
The first issue I am having: When I have a grand staff set in 3/4 I cannot add more than two notes to the treble staff per section when I start with a half note and I am unsure why.
Same applies to the bass staff: If I try to put two half notes on the bass staff and then tie them together not only does it make it a full note but it also moves the second note over to the next section.
Im really at a loss, can somebody help me?

In order for us to do more than guess, it would help if you attached your score using the "Choose a file" button right below where you type your comment. And then tell us what notes you are trying to enter.
You can only put as many notes in a measure as the time signature allows. So no more than 3 beats in 3/4. Maybe the are multiple voices involved, so there are two independent rhythms each containing three beats? See the Handbook under Voices for more information on that.

So this is the music I am trying to transcribe into musescore but having issues with. I cant seem to arrange it the same way they have it original due to those issues I described.

Yes, this is exactly as I guessed: there are two voices in the top staff, two voices in the bottom. See how the hostel notes in each measure add up to three beats, and so do the downstem notes? So, you need to read the section of the Handbook on “Voices” to understand how this works in MuseScore.

A half note is equivalent to two quarter notes, so "two half notes" adds up to four quarter notes, right? And in 3/4 time, you only have space for three quarter notes in a measure:
What would you expect to happen?

@Marc Sabatella
Marc, you beat me to it - I'm just too slow!

Im like a super noob to piano playing, just started a couple months ago. Still taking a music theory course and learning the basics.
So to make this easier I have this music I am I trying to transcribe over to musescore to make it easier for me to learn but I'm unable to do a note by note rebuild.
A quick read through your friend the handbook https://musescore.org/en/handbook will pay major dividends.
You can ask about specific things that you don't understand there.
Enjoy yourself. :)
