Dynamics playback with hairpins

• Sep 1, 2020 - 08:15

Hi

I upgraded from Musescore 2 to 3.5. Loved the playback on hairpins. I am trying to figure out what to put down for velocity for a smooth crescendo followed by decresendo.

I also see in the mixer many choices for instrument articulations. But, if i want one cello line to have mixed articulations is it better to just use the appropriate notes notated with Tremelo, Pizz. Etc?

I see i can change the velocity on a single note. Which instruments are capable of doing that?

Which additional sound font is recommended that can play all the articulations in the mixer?

I noticed piano pedal doesn't add enough sustain. How can i change that?

Anymore playback enhancenents? I want to add more emotion, how does that feature work?

Thanks so much.

In general all that aren't struck or plucked. So Woodwinds, Brass, Strings, Voice

No idea what scherzando is, but you can use a crescendo/diminuendo line, which does influence velocity, and change its text to scherzando
I think though that scherzando is more a tempo marker than a velocity.

Flutes do had a tonguing articulation by default. It is difficult to get rid of it, like for a legato

No idea what spitfire audio is, MuseScore can use sf2, sf3 and sfz soundfonts

This is designed to change playing styles on the same instrument. See this How to for more info.
